Artemis Tree – GDAC 2025

As part of the 2025 Guernsey Digital Assets Conference, Artemis is pleased to present each participant with a series of unique commemorative NFTs. This NFT features an original photograph of a tree in Candie Gardens, St Peter Port, Guernsey, captured by a local photographer. In this tranquil scene, a white rabbit hops into view and gambols around the tree. The imagery is rich in symbolism. The white rabbit is a deliberate homage to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, reflecting the photographer’s personal affection for the story and inviting viewers to explore the evolving, and occasionally surreal, world of digital assets with curiosity and imagination. The tree holds special meaning for Artemis. During our transition to a paperless office environment, this same photographer, who is also responsible for managing client records, displayed his photographs of Guernsey trees in the company’s filing room. As the volume of paper reduced, more trees appeared, reflecting our commitment to sustainability. By July 2024, upon moving to Plaza House, Artemis had fully eliminated on-site paper storage, retaining only essential records in secure off-site facilities and achieving a fully digital workplace. This NFT represents a convergence of narrative, place, technology, and purpose. It honours Artemis’s environmental aspirations, celebrates our sponsorship of a landmark event in Guernsey’s digital journey, and offers each recipient a meaningful and enduring token of the conference.
